Industrial opulence unites our collection of venues at Work Nicer Rail Yards in the Ramsay Design Centre. With soaring exposed ceilings, brick walls and chandeliers, our rooms range from cozy alcoves to bright open ballrooms. All original rooms within the historic Westeel Building (circa 1919), each room is unparalleled in its unique architectural personality

why book with the commons?

No corkage fee!

One highlight of our space is that we don’t charge a corkage fee - which means you can bring in your own alcohol - often a huge cost-savings for your day.

Event Host

As part of your experience, we include a day-of Event Host who is available to greet your vendors, manage the venue, and work with your team to assist with room flips.

Services built into the rental

We provide many of the basic components from which you can design your wedding such as furniture, A/V equipment, staff and many day-of needs, so you can focus on the details that will make your day special.

To compliment our unique venues, we have a variety of services you may want to consider for your Big Day. From custom styling and design to a more D.I.Y. approach, our packages are customizable for your every need. We know our venues intimately so why not take advantage of our expertise and add-on services such as wedding coordination, bar service, a patio, extra rooms, additional access and furniture, all for a fraction of the cost of outside vendors.

Day-AFTER access

Want to pick up things tomorrow? We do ask that you take everything with you at the end of your event, but also understand that things happen! If this option is not already part of your chosen package and you will require access to our space the day after then just ask! Please inquire for pricing.

Bar Services

We don’t charge a corkage fee, which can be a huge savings for you! We also work with some incredible vendors that provide exceptional bar services, custom cocktails, speciality kegs and more! Ask us for details.

Vendor SOurcing

Our team has screened and secured vendor partners that we know will provide exceptional, tailored services for you – from catering, to florists, to photographers. We’ve done the leg work in cultivating these relationships and we are excited for you to reap the rewards.

Additional Rooms

With a room available for cocktail hour while the main room is being flipped from ceremony to reception, to get ready rooms, we have spaces that suit your every need.

Day-before access

If this option is not already part of your chosen package, then the option provides you with the flexibility to prepare in advance by accessing the space the day before your event for up to 4 hours of load-in time. This can be booked up to 2 weeks before your event date. Please inquire for pricing.

Furniture rentals

We have a variety of furniture and decor items for rent at a fraction of the price of many third-party companies.

Essential Setup Package

Starting at $1,000

The Essential Setup Package provides the foundational support needed for a smooth, stress-free event setup and teardown. It’s ideal for clients who already have their vision planned but want professional help executing it.

Included Services

Tailored floor plan designed to fit the event space and guest count
Setup of tables and chairs according to the pre-confirmed floor plan
Placement of personal décor (must be pre-assembled and ready upon delivery)
Basic technology setup guidance (note: technology operation not included)
One Google Meet planning session to align on layout, logistics, and needs
Efficient tear down of tables, chairs, and personal items at the end of the event
Cleaning of the venue included

Reception Ready Package

Starting at $2,500

This package includes everything in the Essential Setup Package, with added design support and vendor coordination to elevate your reception.

Additional Services Included:

Design Consultation – Refine your wedding vision with professional guidance on décor, linens, and overall aesthetic
Ordering & Facilitation of Décor and Rental Items – We handle all logistics to ensure your vision comes to life smoothly
Coordination with Up to Three Additional Vendors – Ensuring all vendors work seamlessly together on the day of your event

Complete Celebration Package

Starting at $3,000

This package is designed to cover all the essential details so you can enjoy your wedding day stress-free. From rehearsal to tear down, our team ensures your ceremony and reception flow seamlessly.

Included Services

Additional venue staff included to assist with setup, coordination, and teardown

Tailored floor plan designed to fit the event space and guest count
Two Google Meet planning sessions to finalize layout and logistics
Full rehearsal 1–2 days prior to the wedding, including processional and ceremony run-through

Ceremony setup and facilitation
Placement of personal décor (must be pre-assembled and ready upon delivery)
Flip from ceremony to reception ensuring a seamless transition
Basic technology management during ceremony and rehearsal

Full teardown of tables, chairs, and personal décor
Post-event access to load-out personal items with a 1-hour time slot 1–2 days following your event

This package includes everything from the Complete Celebration Package, with additional services to provide full design support and expanded vendor coordination, ensuring your wedding day is beautifully styled and flawlessly executed. Designed for couples who want complete guidance and professional support from planning through execution, ensuring your wedding vision comes to life flawlessly.

Additional Services Included:

Design Consultation – Refine your wedding vision with professional guidance on décor, linens, and overall aesthetic
Ordering & Facilitation of Décor and Rental Items – We manage the logistics so your vision comes to life without stress
Coordination with Up to Four Additional Vendors – Ensuring all moving parts work together seamlessly
Vendor Confirmations – Final checks the week before your event to ensure timing and Wedding Host for a smooth flow on the wedding day

preferred vendors

Catering

We have a list of preferred catering companies, meaning we can attest to their wonderful product and service. They know our spaces inside and out, and also offer bartending services. If you have your heart set on an outside caterer or bartender then please let us know!

TECH

Most venues have in-house tech such as lighting, sound and projection. This includes mircophones, speakers and a few other things to enhance your experience. However, DJ services or live music are not included. Confirm with your DJ on what equipment they can provide.
