Titled after Cornelius Vanderbilt's longstanding legacy as both a New York entrepreneur and railway powerhouse of the 1800s, The Commodore Room pays tribute to the rail road crossings rooted in the heart of our historic neighbourhood. Encompassing the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives within our walls and the tracks that frame our cowork, meeting and event space - The Commodore Room features an adaptable format for parties up to 25.
Along the exposed brick walls, three large, west-facing windows infuse room with an abundance of natural light, establishing a bright and polished setting. Cast iron tables are among the original furnishings, and convertible concrete tables can be brought in for larger events and set up in pods for educational functions.
Quiet and tucked away towards the back of our space, this room offers the appeal of a private alcove for your meeting, workshop, or private event. Both our largest traditional meeting space and most intimate event venue, the furnishings within The Commodore Room can be rearranged to offer a completely unique experience for you and your guests.
The Commodore Room is available M-F during our regular office hours (8am-5pm), and can also be reserved for evening and weekend bookings.
The Commodore Room acts as an intimate venue for small social gatherings, private yoga classes, pop up shops and dinner parties. It is an ideal private space for photo and video shoots.
Depending on the room layout and furnishing configuration, The Commodore Room can accommodate a traditional board table of 8 to a cozy theatre-style of 25.
The Commodore Room is rented for a minimum of 4 hours starting at $560 during our operating hours (M-F, 8am-5pm). Evening and weekend bookings start at $1260. With every booking, you'll receive peace of mind by knowing an event or meeting attendant will be on-site to ensure your time in the space is nothing less than exceptional.
To deliver the same seamless experience for after hour bookings (evenings and weekends), an extended hour rate will apply.
Please note that for its sought-after appeal, we require a minimum reservation of 4 hours for bookings in The Commodore Room.
